Questions? Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together. If you have any other questions or want to schedule a free consult, please contact me

Where are you located?

I live in St. John’s Newfoundland and can see clients across Newfoundland and Labrador. I am also licensed to practice in Colorado and can see clients across the State.

What are your fees?

My rate for a 50 minute session is $160 in both locations.

Do you take insurance?

I do not. You may pay me and I will provide a receipt or superbill for your insurance and you can seek reimbursement.

In NL, I do work with some EAP’s. Get in touch to see if I work with your employer.

In the United States, You are entitled to receive this “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that
are not identified here. This Good Faith Estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of psychotherapy visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated cost for those services, depends on your needs and what you agree to in consultation with your therapist. You are entitled to disagree with any recommendations made to you concerning your treatment and you may discontinue treatment at any time.

How long will I be in therapy?

That is a great question and together we will figure it out. Some clients feel empowered and more capable after several appointments. Children with trauma histories often need longer to work on healing. My commitment is that we will work together to find the right treatment plan for your family.

What is your cancellation policy?

I respect your time and I know you respect mine. If you have to miss an appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice so I can try and fill that spot. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will pay the full fee for our session.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

This is a chance for us to really get familiar with each other. I will ask why you decided to come to therapy and what you are looking to change. I will gather your history and also ask if you have had therapy before and what worked, as well as what did not. If your child is the client. I
would ask that the first appointment be without the child so I can best gather information and we can come up with a plan together.
